Come visit the Child PACE Lab!
Is your family interested in participating in our research? If you have a young child (3-6 years old) in your household, we would like to invite you to participate in a research study investigating emotion and memory. During the study, children play several different games, including memory games, a game that requires the child to sort cards, a game requiring the child to identify animal pictures, and games involving completing math and verbal problems. Next, we play emotion games wherein the child will be shown pictures of other children on a computer and asked if they are feeling happy, sad, mad, scared or no feeling. Next, we will read some short stories and ask what emotion the main character is feeling. Lastly, we will play a drawing game. For all of these games, children will be wearing a stretchy EEG cap that fits like a swim cap and two heart rate stickers so we can see what the brain and heart are doing while the child is playing our games.
Visits last approximately 90 minute and participants receive $35 as a small "thank you" gift for participating in our study. Please click the link below if you are interested in hearing more about the study. We would love the chance to talk with you! Filling out the information form will not obligate you to participate; we want to tell you all the details before you decide whether you would like to join us for our study. |
